Maybe you’re sitting right where I once sat — tired, searching, wanting something in your life to be different but not sure how to get there. You want things to change, but where do you start, and what can you do? You tell yourself that you can’t keep doing the same thing over and over because you know that hasn’t gotten you the results you’re looking for. Change will not happen instantly, and I have no quick-fix answers to give you. Life change is a process, and my prayer is that you will be able to make life changes, taking one step at a time, one day at a time. Below is a list of definitions of change. As you go through the posts, you will find suggestions for improving your situation. Only you can decide which changes you are willing to make.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth; do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
- Become different; be altered or modified: become new.
- Replace something with something else.
- The substitution of one thing for another.
- An alteration or modification.
- A new or refreshingly different experience.
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23
I haven’t forgotten what it feels like to sit right where you are. I wish I could say those feelings are behind me, but I don’t know if they ever fully will. What I have found is that God meets me there, again and again. Wherever you are in this, you’re not sitting there alone.
